Interfaith Community Festival

The diverse faith communities that give life to Interfaith Montgomery organized an Interfaith Community Festival on Friday, June 13th, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. This free event was graciously hosted by the East Montgomery Islamic Center.
Health screenings and community resources were shared and festival goer were invited to donate blood through a blood drive by the American Red Cross.

A special focus on the spiritual principle of “gratitude” provided a foundation for a series of presentations from various traditions – Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Baha’i – including song, dance, and drama.
Opportunities for fun and exercise were provided through a petting zoo, bouncy houses, a pony carousel, and chair yoga.

The purpose of this community festival was to strengthen individual and community health and promote the ideals of religious freedom and unity. It was a day to celebrate our diversity, connect with one another, and enjoy!
