Seeds of Reconciliation 2024

The 2024 lecture series was curated by Dr. Gregory P. Meyjes of JustCulture Consulting, LLC, and included Mr. Muaath Al-Khattab, Organizer with the Montgomery Hub of Faith in Action Alabama and member of the Muslim community; Rev. Lynn Hopkins, Pastor of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Montgomery; Rev. Elizabeth O’Neill, Pastor of Immanuel Presbyterian of Montgomery; and Rev. Manuel B. Williams, Director of Resurrection Catholic Missions of the South; as well as Dr. Gregory P. Meyjes himself who is a member of the Baha’i community.

With a focus on the spiritual values we hold in common, the diverse presenters showcased various efforts to uplift humanity.

These free meetings were open to the public and took place on the last Sundays of each month from January to May at the Morgan Memorial Library. The lectures promoted community dialogue by:

  • cultivating an environment in which people of different races, faiths, and backgrounds could come together in a way that fostered relationship-building
  • providing informative opportunities for Montgomery residents to learn about the different faith traditions and backgrounds of their fellow community members
